Tynee’ Talks: Ten Years a Slave- Sexual Bondage with Jordyn Anese
Tynee’ Talks: Ten Years a Slave- Sexual Bondage with Jordyn

Tynee` Talks with Jordyn Anese about her Ten Years a Slave to
Sex (TYAS) initiative. Jordyn hopes that through her initiative she can empower
young ladies to free themselves from sexual bondage and learn to be comfortable
with their inner and outer self.
Tynee`Talks: What prompted you to start the TYAS initiative?
Jordyn Anese: I got to a point where I was disgusted with
myself. I had a self-actualization moment where I just wanted to be free. One
day I was sitting around with my friends and we all realized we were celibate.
Or celibacy was for different reasons, but something about this discovery, made
me realize that God was truly calling me to break free from this sexual bondage
for a reason. I kept hearing the word: Transparency. I knew it was time for me
to be honest with myself and be transparent. My transparency would eventually
help me to empower other young women. My story isn’t just my story, its other
people’s story as well.
TT: Why do you feel like sex enslaved you?
JA: I was enslaved to a feeling. I thought sex was the biggest
way to express love. I thought it was the only way. I thought that if I didn’t
have sex with the guy I was with, the relationship would end. I thought if I
didn’t do it, someone else would.
TT: I think as women, we’ve all felt that way. Always in
constant battle to “keep him”.
TT: Do you feel you place your value in your sex?
JA: Absolutely! I placed my entire value of self in sex. I
now understand that sex is a gift and a gateway to life. It should be valued,
but that’s not where my value begins or ends.
TT: What lesson do you wish you would have learned ten years
ago?
JA: I wish I wouldn’t have lost my moral compass. I strayed
from my early teachings. I wish I would have learned to value myself more. I
wish I would have found a way to work through my first real relationship.
TT: What are the two most important things you’ve learned
during this process?
JA: Number one, I learned to ‘Stay in the Pocket’ Staying in
the pocket means sticking to what you believe in. I’m sticking to celibacy to
draw closer to God. And number two, I learned how to discipline myself.
Celibacy is more than denying sex, it’s about discipline.
TT: What does sex mean to you now?
JA: It means protecting my heart. I believe in soul ties. So
now, I realize that abstaining from sex protects me from other people’s issues.
It protects me from taking on other people’s burdens.
TT: What do you hope to instill in young women or women in
general?
JA: Freedom of choice. Don’t just do it because you think
you have to. And, confidence.
TT: How can women break free from sex slavery?
JA: Change your mindset. Everything starts with the minds.
Someone once said, “If you kill the mind, the body will follow.” Be comfortable
with losing friends. Don’t go where you used to go. It’s all a process of
elimination.

Tynee Talks: #Dating2K16

Dating is a tough game to play in 2K16 |
Dating in 2016 is equivalent to playing Russian roulette
with a fully loaded gun. It’s definitely going damage you in some form or fashion. Needless to say, it's a hell of a risk! Dating pretty much sucks.
You’ve all heard the horror stories from your boys’ or your homegirls’ in great
detail about dating in this ratchet era. Let’s face it, times have changed and
people just aren’t the same. People aren’t taking the time to get to know each other,
hell people aren’t even taking the time to get to know themselves. Everything seems so rushed and out of order. If we really
sat down and thought about it, there are areas in our personal lives that need
extreme makeovers, before we let someone take up residence in our hearts and
mental spaces. The conditions in which we live in foster such a microwavable
life. There's not much time for anything. Or American work/life balance is completely off and causes for man and female relationships to have a strain. All dudes wanna do is chill and all chicks want to do is give the
impression that their relationship is hashtagable i.e, #relationshipgoals. Ever since Beyonce’ told ya’ll: “I can have another you on a minute, matter fact he'll be here in a minute…” ya’ll ran down the
fifty yard line with them lyrics and started replacing people faster than members of Destiny’s Child circa 2001.

So what does dating look like in 2016? A MEME, a stupid
MEME. People are getting advice on relationships from MEMES. It’s the dumbest,
lamest, bull-shiggity I’ve encountered in the 21st century. And guess
what? People are eating it up like a sit-down with Oprah, Dr. Phil, and Steve
Harvey at a single's retreat hosted by Iyanla. To
know that the strength of your relationship comes from a MEME should frighten
you. I know it gives me conflicting
emotions. Let’s take a look shall we...

CONSISTENCY
Today’s word of the day is: CONSISTENCY!
In today’s world, consistency has seemingly been swallowed
up by instant gratification. Instead of sticking to things or working things
out, we have fallen victim to giving up or moving on to something else without
a second thought. Without even trying we are on to the next.
In relationships we seek that Cliff and Clair type of love.
It’s ideal. But we don’t put in the work. We don’t communicate. We’re not
consistent in showing our appreciation for one another. We’re not consistent in
our words or deeds. Instead of calling each other we text. Instead of getting
to know each other through the good, bad and the ugly, we get an urge to go
left right at the corner of semi-good. When things start to look bad, we’re
completely out of dodge, and we don’t even get close to ugly because we’re not
too fond of pretty.
Every year we’re perpetually trying to lose 10, 15 and 20
lbs. We sign up for our year membership at the gym, declaring that this year we’re
going to stick to Kanye’s Workout Plan.
We start off with an exercise routine and schedule, but then that becomes too
much of a hassle. We’re not seeing results fast enough so we resort to a quick
fix, like a waist trainer or some magical tea to do the trick. When all we have
to do is stay the course.
We say we want to save money, but we stay in the mall. We’re
not setting financial goals. So instead of seeing gains all we see is losses.
We say we want to be great. We say we want to be successful.
We say we want results. We say all these things verbally. We tweet about it.
Boast on our statuses about it. We even repost memes about it. But what are we
actually doing about it?
Let us move forward into 2016 with consistency. Let our daily
agenda be to stay the course. Let us not do something once or twice and expect success.
Let the motto for 2016 be: Consistency and without a shadow of a doubt I’m sure
we’ll see the sweet fruit of our labor bring forth nothing short of success!

Real Love & Hip Hop
Rappers: Remy Ma
& Papoose (Hip Hop’s Personification of Ride or Die)
In the early ninety’s Mary J. Blige was looking for a Real
Love. Everyone wants that kind of love, but few us are fortunate enough to find it. She sang from the depths of her soul: "Real love, I'm searching for a real love, someone to set my heart free, real love..." Rappers Remy Ma & Papoose happened to find real love with one another and are the personification of that Real
Love Mary J. was singing about. Remy Ma and Papoose captured our hearts on the
season 6 premiere episode of Love & Hip Hop New York.

It’s
been a year since Remy has been out of prison.
After doing a six year bid for literally slapping a heaux, Remy Ma is looking
good, setting stages on fire and killing the game in a major way. While she was
away her husband/bestfriend was there to hold her down. It’s common for a woman
to hold a man down while he's locked down, but quite a rarity for a man to play that position. I
applaud Pap for being a faithful man for better or for worse. You can tell by
their interaction on camera, he literally loves, honors and protects Remy to
the fullest extent. Their love is so TRILL that these two were married over the
phone while she was away in prison.
It wasn’t the ideal situation, but when you love
someone you live by the “By Any Means Necessary Code.”
Can we say: #RelationshipGoals!!! Papoose understands how Rem felt about their phone
nuptials so he reserved a castle for their wedding “do-over” in exchange for a baby
to complete their family. Although Papoose has 3 children from previous
relationships and Remy Ma has 1 son; Papoose wants to create a child
with his one true love. They can never get the time they lost
back, but Pap is making sure he does everything in his power to make sure every
moment counts. I can’t wait to see
what the future has in store for Hip Hop’s real life ride or die couple!
